Mushroom ID Workshop @ Sandhill Wildlife Area

Join the Sandhill and Mead Wildlife Area education teams to engage in a weekend mushroom experience at Sandhill Wildlife Area! This workshop is designed to get you equipped with the skills to confidently identify mushrooms. We will cover many aspects of mushrooms including an overview of the Fungi Kingdom, mushroom morphology, identification, taxonomy, and edibility. This hands-on learning opportunity will also include field trips on the property and a chance to engage in spore printing. Please dress for the weather in comfortable, layered clothing suitable for indoor and outdoor settings, and bring appropriate footwear such as rubber knee boots or waterproof hiking books.
Class is limited to 18 participants.
Preregistration is required along with a $65 registration fee per person.
The Sandhill dormitories will be available as needed for an additional $10 fee per person.
