Lake Arrowhead
This 300 acre lake is the site of weekly water ski shows during the summer months. Picnic at the lakeside, launch a boat, or lounge on the beach. From the town of Rome take Hwy. 13 north to County D. Go west on County D 2 1/2 miles to 15th Ave and go south 1/2 mile to park. Picnic tables, picnic shelter, outhouses, swimming beach, playground, and boat landing.
Lake Sherwood
The smallest of three lakes in the town of Rome, Lake Sherwood attracts anglers for its baas, northern pike, walleye and panfish. Waterskiers and boaters also can use the lake. Take Hwy. 13 1 1/2 miles south of the town of Rome. The park is on the left. Outhouses, boat landing.
Lake Camelot
Anglers will appreciate the bass, northern pike, walleye and panfish in this 445 acre lake located in the town of Rome. Swimming, boating and waterskiing are also popular activities during summer months. Go south 1 1/2 miles from the town of Rome. Go east on Apache Ave. to 10th Ave, then drive north 1/4 mile on 10th Ave. Picnic tables, outhouses, swimming beach and boat landing.
Lake Petenwell
Wisconsin’s second largest body of water. 23,000 Acres of water. Has 15 boat landings. Three parks: Petenwell County Park, Monroe Park and Petenwell Wilderness Park. Petenwell Park also has a beach. Fish include: Panfish, walleye, musky, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, sturgeon and catfish. 101 miles of shoreline. Wildlife abounds including one of the larger populations of bald eagles.
