ROME — The WTA Homegrounds Complex has hosted the Annual Wisconsin State Shoot since 2013. Though entries were down nearly 200 from last year’s 2019 event, there were still a recorded 5,100 entries in 13 events over the six days of competition.

ROME — Sand Valley is pleased to announce that Michael Carbiener has joined the team as General Manager. In this role, Carbiener will oversee all resort operations for the growing Midwest destination.

ROME — Visit Rome is gearing up for their inaugural Rome Fat Bike Fest, taking place February 28 - March 1, 2020 at Sand Valley. With help from a $7,350 Joint Effort Marketing (JEM) Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, organizers will be marketing the event to fat tire bikers from across Wisconsin and the North-Central Midwest.

ROME — Visit Rome is inviting community residents to drop off new or gently used coats, sweaters, hats, mittens and other warm clothing items for both adults and children. This effort is part of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s Big Bundle Up Campaign. The Big Bundle Up is a statewide collection program running Oct. 28 – Nov. 25, 2019.

ROME — The Wisconsin Trapshooting Association hosted the 120th State Trapshooting Championship at the WTA Homegrounds Shooting Complex in Rome, WI. With 600,000 targets thrown in six days, the 2019 State Shoot was a record setting event.

ROME — Regional Bike Shop Wheel & Sprocket has announced that Race #7 of their “Hugh Jass” Fat Bike Competition Series will be held at Sand Valley in March 2019. The Hugh Jass Fat Bike Series is wildly popular and explores the parks and trails of Wisconsin & Illinois using a fat tire bike.
