"Lunch" in the Wild at Sandhill Wildlife Area

  • Sandhill Wildlife Area 1715 County Highway X Babcock, WI, 54413 United States (map)

What does a dandelion salad taste like? Would you like to find out? Join us at Sandhill Wildlife Area, where expert botanist Jessica Prindiville will lead a search for all the wild edibles Sandhill has to offer. She will lead us in a short classroom discussion to learn the basics, followed by a guided hike to look for our potential lunch. But bring a lunch as well along with a water bottle and bug spray.

Meet in the Sandhill Outdoor Skills Center.
Class is limited to 25 participants.
Preregistration is required before May 17th along with a $10 registration fee per person.

To register or for more information please visit https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Lands/WildlifeAreas/sandhill/calendar.html or contact Quinn Brownell at quinn.brownell@wisconsin.gov or (715) 884-6335.
