Tracking Wildlife in the Snow at Sandhill Wildlife Area

  • Sandhill Wildlife Area 1715 County Highway X Babcock, WI, 54413 United States (map)

Winter may be here, but most of our wildlife friends are still around! In fact, it’s easier than ever to find them. Join us at Sandhill Wildlife Area to learn how we can track and identify wildlife using their footprints that appear in the snow. Learn about all the different tracks you can see in and around Sandhill in the morning, followed by going out and finding some tracks. Please dress for the weather and bring your lunch and snacks.

Meet in the Sandhill Outdoor Skills Center.
Class is limited to 20 participants.
Preregistration is required before December 6th along with a $20 registration fee per person.

To register or for more information please visit https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Lands/WildlifeAreas/sandhill/calendar.html or contact Quinn Brownell at quinn.brownell@wisconsin.gov or (715)884-6335.
