Sand Valley and Visit Rome are celebrating the thrill of pond hockey this winter with the inaugural Sand County Classic. Open to all, the tournament takes place on one of three frozen lakes at Sand Valley, a four-season destination in Central Wisconsin.

Players will be surrounded by a natural amphitheater of snow-covered sand dunes and towering red pines as they take the ice. Players and guests will have access to an inviting hospitality suite overlooking the lake with soul-warming snacks and beverages from the resort’s culinary team.

Players must stay on property to participate.

Sand Valley features an assortment of cozy, freestanding cottages that sit just steps away from the ice and can accommodate groups of players, full teams, and families.

Single king or double queen rooms are also available.
